The short version
- This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, ads or tracking scripts. Its fonts and images come from this site itself.
- Our apps use your contacts, calls, photos and videos on your phone. What does leave your phone is explained, partner by partner, in each app’s policy.
- For any privacy question or request, write to privacy@moonlanes.com.
1. Who we are
Moonlanes (“we”, “us”) runs moonlanes.com and publishes our apps. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy and in our apps’ policies, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Moonlanes is the trade name of:
Full company details: legal notice
- Privacy questions
- privacy@moonlanes.com
- Support
- support@moonlanes.com
We have not appointed a data protection officer. Every privacy question goes to privacy@moonlanes.com, and we answer it ourselves.
2. Our apps
Call Screen: Video Photo Theme (Android)
On your phone only: your contacts, call details, the photos and videos you pick, block rules, settings and backups you save. The app never uploads your photos or videos, and never sends phone numbers or your contacts’ names.
Sent to partners: usage statistics and crash reports (Google Firebase), feature switches (Firebase Remote Config), purchase status (RevenueCat and Google Play), ads (AppLovin MAX with Google AdMob and other ad networks, personalised only with consent in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), and downloads of looks from our content server (Cloudflare).
Your choices: in the app, Me → Settings → Privacy & ads lets you turn off usage statistics, change your ad consent, opt out of the sale or sharing of your data (US), and delete your data.
New apps will be added here, each with its own policy, when they launch.
3. This website
- No cookies, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. The pages load their fonts, styles and images only from moonlanes.com, and make no requests to other companies.
- Hosting. Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the site. To deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes your IP address, your browser’s details, the page you ask for and the time. We don’t keep visitor logs ourselves; we only see totals, such as the number of visits, in Cloudflare’s dashboard. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
- Shared-link pages. When a shared Call Screen link (an address starting with /t/, /l/ or /n/) opens in your browser, a short script in the page adds what the link carries (the look, or the first name a name ringtone says), and the sender’s first name if the link has one, to the Google Play link, so the app can open it after you install it. On an Android phone it then opens it for you: in Call Screen if you have it, otherwise in Google Play. The script runs only in your browser; it stores nothing on your device and sends nothing to us. What a link contains is explained in the Call Screen privacy policy.
- Links to other sites. Links to Google Play and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies, such as Google’s.
4. When you email us
- What we receive
- Your email address, your message and anything you attach.
- Why
- To answer you, help with our apps, and handle purchases, refunds, withdrawals and privacy requests.
- Legal basis
- Our legitimate interest in helping you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); contract when it’s about a purchase (Art. 6(1)(b)); legal obligation for withdrawals, refunds and privacy requests (Art. 6(1)(c)).
- Who handles it
- Email to our addresses arrives through Cloudflare Email Routing and is kept in a mailbox hosted by Google (Gmail). Our replies are sent through SMTP2GO (SMTP2GO’s privacy policy).
- How long
- Up to 2 years after our last message, unless we need it longer to handle a legal claim or to meet a legal duty.
5. Your rights
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
- correct data that is wrong;
- delete your data;
- restrict how we use it;
- port data you gave us, in a machine-readable format;
- object to uses based on legitimate interests;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what happened before;
- complain to a data protection authority, in particular the one where you live, where you work or where you think the problem happened.
To use a right, email privacy@moonlanes.com. Our apps have no accounts, so each app’s policy explains how we can find your data (for Call Screen, see its section 9). We answer within one month; complex requests can take up to two more months, and we will tell you why. Using your rights is free. People in US states with privacy laws have the rights described in each app’s policy.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers are based in, or use servers in, the United States and other countries outside the European Economic Area. When data leaves the EEA, it is protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for certified recipients, by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses in our providers’ data processing terms, or by an adequacy decision (for example, for New Zealand, where SMTP2GO is based). Ask us for a copy at privacy@moonlanes.com.
7. Children
This website and our apps are not directed to children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to privacy@moonlanes.com and we will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
When something changes that affects your data, we update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes to an app’s data use are also announced in that app. You can ask us for earlier versions.
